Employment
Skilled workforce is a key factor to enable the country to become a middle income country by 2025. The majority of the labour force in Tanzania has low level of skills whereby 79.9% of the employed labour force is in low skills level occupations, 16.6% are in medium skills level occupation while only 3.6% are in high skills level occupations. Deliberate measures have to be undertaken to build the skills of Tanzanians in the priority sectors by ensuring that employment plans are developed by investors which will clearly indicate the capacity building programs to employees and the succession plans and effective monitoring of the plans are undertaken to ensure Tanzanians not only are employed in the unskilled jobs but in most of the professional and managerial posts.
